My Brother’s Name
2m, 1w, 2 any // 90 minutes // Magical Family Drama
Mehdi and Ali are brothers who both immigrated from Iran to the U.S. at different times. Finally reunited after decades apart, their shared future is looking bright, until the events and aftermath of September 11, 2001 make both of them question how they exist within this new world. Memories of the 1979 Revolution resurface as the present unfolds, and both brothers approach trying to survive in conflicting ways. In the end, they both must decide what is most important to them, and ask themselves if moving forward in life means that they must leave one another behind.
